He created his first fragrances in 2009 , inspired by his ancestor Alvise Gritti , a 16th-century diplomat and merchant who traveled between Venice and Constantinople.

The perfume house is based in Bologna , where all fragrances are produced in-house. Every aspect—from fragrance formulation to bottle filling and packaging—is handcrafted and personally overseen by Luca Gritti.
